Auto Food Fight Devlog #8 - Tier 1 Art + Effects

I've been looking forward to this update! It took a bit long than expected due to how the different food effects interact with each other. 

I'm just going to have gameplay showing the whole video pretty much just so you can see the different effects and art!

There was a good amount of time spent figuring out the different tiers. Like how many foods/condiments per tier, what each effect would be, base stats to use for now, what each food should look like, etc.

I'll give a run through of the different foods and condiments for tier 1. At least for this initial development until full testing can be done to check the balance of everything.

Foods: 

-Cauliflower - 1/1 On faint: Summons 2 clusters (1/1) 

-Carrot - 2/2 Slay: +2 flavor

-Tomato - 2/2 On Buy: +1 quality to a random food 

-Cabbage - 1/2 difficult Preparation: turn into Kimchi (Apply number (7) of condiments to it) 

-Radish - 2/1 Before attack: Deal 1 damage to enemy 

-Lettuce - 3/3 

-Onion - 1/3 Bruised: +1 flavor

-Peas - 2/2 Start of Battle: Deal 1 damage to food in same slot 

-Celery - 2/3 On Sell: +1 money

Condiments: 

+Salt - +1 quality

+Pepper - +1 flavor


Up next is work on tier 2! I hope everyone is looking forward to that!
